Rebirth of my Computer; Insanity of my mother
|
Ok a lot of random stuff has happened so to try and cut this down I guess I'll stick to the basics about that other computer thing. - Next day, went to a place to get a new used tire then we went to the mall. After we (my mom and I) left, we came out to find that the tire we just bought was flat, so she drove on the rim of that tire to a Firestone that was luckily open (she later went and got her money back for that cruddy tire)
- Got home. Started up pc again. This time that evil whatever seemed to have gotten mad since it could no longer find firefox and it made my computer slow to a terrible crawl. Eventually, somehow I got over that and decided it was time to kiss the PC goodbye and I made the most of my two usb drives to save what I could (only had 2 gig to work with out of a pc with only 6 gig so it wasn't super bad)
- Saved files by putting them in zip form and telling them exactly where to save (the only way I could think of to get around the copy and paste issue).
- Shut down. Confusedly (<--probably not a word) I reformatted the drive. Then, tried to install my OS for the first time. Then it made me reformat the drive again and after some more basic crap I was back in business minus use of most programs I ever had (which I recollected/still am collecting while I'm at school to bring my pc back to what it was).
- Next day, 9/28. Spent day fixing up pc a bit and zoning out.
- Next day, 9/29. Started out just fine. After school, mom took me to this store called McKay's. It's a used books, cds, games, and stuff like that store. It's new. The "surprise" was that I was going to get a game for my birthday and I knew what I wanted. Between Burnout Revenge and RE4. I actually tried to get Burnout Revenge but through confusion I ended up with RE4 (PS2 version, I hope it was the right choice but due to later events it might not matter).
- During that night, during a final break of the show, Prison Break, mom asked me what I'd want for Christmas and I said if possible a Wii, though I didn't have my hopes up for reasons I'm not discussing though they are slightly alluded to above.
- Blah blah blah. She said she wanted to sell my GC before I got a Wii. I wanted to sell it afterwards. I need to know that everything I have will work before I give it up, that's why. (like I doubt the game boy player accessory will work on the wii). It's similar to the deal that went down last year when I got a PS2.
- Somehow, and I don't even remember how, it went from that to some other stuff and into how I'm disrespectful. So I missed the end of the show and most of the rest of my night (8:50-12:00ish).
- brief description of what happened: argue, complain, discuss, b17ch, then she goes into my room and decides to throw everything on the floor. I think most of it was ok but as of now that doesn't 100% matter.
- Made me pick it up. Went away for awhile. Comes back. I still refuse to comply with whatever about caring or respecting for I was tired of it to a certain point. So she throws it all on the floor again.
- argue (by the way, I'm the one who remained calm during this entire time regardless of whether my words goaded her on or not, although nothing I said amounted to throw all the stuff you paid for on the floor).
- Side note: she thinks I respect my stuff more than I do her. Right then at least, I do. Sometimes (maybe more than sometimes) I am cold but at least I'm not angry or causing a riot).
- So more blah blah blah. And she goes and tells me to pack up that stuff and starting with the game systems, then the games, then my manga, then Harry Potter (I guess the rest she deemed I didn't care much about). In that order I put the stuff into a plastic bag every time I said I didn't care because I really didn't care. If she'd shut up by taking all my stuff, then so be it. Plus I didn't get to do my homework. (Oh yeah, also my yu-gi-oh cards and my pokemon <--although that's pointless. I play yugioh; the pokemon is still around just because of TEH MEMORIES)
- So more blah blah then she finally gives up. Goes out. then starts carrying off the stuff (I forgot, the threats were that she'd sell the stuff). In the meantime, I had sensed this coming so I grabbed a few select things that I felt I'd want the most just in case she really did it.
- I hid (partially as they are still in the room) the first Harry Potter, Negima! Volumes 1 & 6, I grabbed the Ancient Mew card from the Pokemon book (it was from the first movie, I do partially treasure that), all of my memory cards, my Pokemon Diamond and Firered, and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Really I considered some other stuff but I had to make a good showing.
- then after that, I was told to actually do my homework. Ha ha ha. Like I was. I just spaced out for awhile in front of my textbook and put an old date on some previous work I'd finished. When I tried to go to sleep then it turns out I had been locked out from my sleeping place so I decided to go back to the couch and camp out.
- About an hour later, she woke up and said some crap about I wasn't going to get rest if she wasn't (which confused me as she was sleep, I'm semi-sure). She asked me in my sleepy state to show my work. Luckily, I had my book near me and remembered well enough what to do. And then told me to go clean up what was left of the stuff in my room. Then I went to sleep again.
- Next day comes, it's tacky day/opposite day for spirit week at school. I was in an up and down mood that day. I couldn't stay mad because I often forget to be mad/sad long when I'm around different people. Plus, some of the costumes...were too funny. One of my friends dressed up as a girl, dress, bourettes, and a stuffed bra. I saw a few other guys who had done such things as well. One had that plus a wig. Another one just wore a bra on the outside. There were also plenty of girls being guys. It was actually pretty funny (and semi-disturbing too). I also which I never got to mention recently came across the halo 1 trial for PC and I've been using it to play with my classmates and this day was no exception. I'd like to explain this better more in the future if I can.
And so that's all. Still long wasn't it? Trust me. It could've been longer -.-;; Currently, I don't know my status. I suppose mom won't be so mean as to hold all my stuff or sell it and tomorrow is my birthday. That would be one heck of a present... Happy 18th Birthday son, your gift? I sold all your stuff. Have a nice day. But that would be a nice introduction to the "real" world wouldn't it? I've never actually looked forward to being 18. And nothing will change for me upon reaching it (except as far as the law is concerned). I shall still be treated as much a child as before and... anyway. Time to bring this to a close. Final words: I think this may have happened partially because I think mom got drunk. Add that to menopause versus the raging hormones of a teen. It never works well. Anyway, I'm in a neutral state of mind right now. Actually, I'm borderline happy at this moment at least. Wonder what shall my real birthday bring...
